2002 - A plea to the Persian community for kindness and support

This is a plea to the Persian community for kindness and support.  My brother, Bahram Tabar, has been extremely ill for nine months after suffering a stroke in October, 2001.  He and has had many complications from infections, and he can only communicate by squeezing his eyes or raising his thumb.  Bahram is from Tehran, but has lived in the United States since 1988.  He is a single father of his son, Cameron Jon and I am Bahram's only relative in the U.S.  My wife and I are raising his son and providing as much care for Bahram as we can, but we do not have the funds to get him necessary therapy, and he does not have insurance that provides for his needs.

We ask for assistance in three matters. We are very interested in finding a physician, particularly a neurologist, that will dedicate some time to Bahram's case and that will have as much faith in his ability to recover as we do.  Second, some friends of ours have established an account for us to receive donations to help Bahram.  If you wish to contribute to this account, it is with First Union National Bank in Marietta, Georgia and the account number is 101005-162-2921.  Third, we ask for your prayers and faith for Bahram.  If you have some advice for us or would like to ask about Bahram's condition, please e-mail me at btabar@mindspring.com or call me at 770-439-9792.  Thank you for your prayers and support.
